Membership FAQs
Find out more about how DMA professional membership works
These are some of the frequently asked questions about DMA professional membership
How much is Professional Membership?
Professional Membership is just £295 a year (+VAT), giving you access to discounts on all DMA qualifications and masterclasses powered by the IDM, free DMA events and research reports, and access to the DMA Membership Hub containing over 200+ bite size modules to improve your marketing skill set.
How long does the application process take?
You can expect to hear from us by email 3-5 working days after we receive your application. We need this time to assess your experience and qualifications so that we can offer you the level of membership that is relevant to you and get any necessary approvals from the Professional Standards Committee. Once we have received your payment your membership will start.
What methods of payment are available?
We accept payment by Direct Debit (annually or quarterly payment), all major credit and debit cards and BACS transfer. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit, you will save 10% on the subscription fee. Payment must be made by you personally, we do not accept payment from company accounts.
If you have any queries regarding payment for your membership, please contact our finance team on accountspayable@dma.org.uk or 020 7291 3364.
What do I do if my company has agreed to pay for my membership?
As your DMA professional membership is personal to you, we can only accept payment from you. If your company is funding your membership, you should claim the subscription fee as an expense. VAT invoices are provided.
Can the DMA provide evidence of membership to an employer?
Provided you have given your consent, we can provide employers or reference services with confirmation of your membership status.
How long does my membership last?
The subscription fees we advertise are for 1 year.
If you are paying by Direct Debit, your membership will be renewed automatically until such time as you tell us you do not wish to renew. In this event, please make sure you give us a minimum of 10 working days' notice so that we can cancel your Direct Debit.
If you pay your membership subscription fee by credit/debit card or BACS, we will remind you when your membership renewal is due.
My membership lapsed, can I rejoin?
Yes, you can rejoin at any time. Simply fill out our application form.
I submitted my application to become a member and I still have not heard back, what should I do?
